PAF is proud to have been featured in Bucks County Courier Times!

Bucks County Courier Times staff writer Joan Hellyer wrote an article about Pennwood Middle School students, working under the direction of art teachers Rebecca VanLieu and Ginger Peyrek, to create a large mural using old crayons.

Pennwood students and staff involved in the project are inspired by conceptual artist Frederico Uribe , who “creates pop art using objects of everyday life.”  These inspired Pennsbury artists are seeking to “promote environmental awareness and artistic expression through creative community recycling and arts programs.”

Pennsbury Arts Foundation funded the Pennwood mural project with a grant.  Residents across the district donated crayons.

Save the date for Tuesday, May 21, 2013!  PAF is partnering again with Villa Rosa restaurant, located at 661 Heacock Road in Yardley. A percentage of your bill, whether it is eat-in or take-out, will go to PAF's mini-grant program.  This is a workshop day for Pennsbury teachers.  So tell your friends, order lunch with your fellow teachers, or go back for dinner with your family!  What a wonderful and easy way to support the Arts in Pennsbury School District.  PAF thanks the Capuano family for this wonderful fundraising opportunity.

Go eat at the delicious restaurant for a good cause!
