PAF awarded a Spring 2012 grant to Katie Duncan of Walt Disney Elementary School.  Ms. Duncan brought the Pan-Asian Dance Troupe, a student-run group from the University of Pennsylvania, to Disney for their UN Day.  In preparation for UN day, classes researched different aspects of Asian countries.  The presentation provided an exciting connection to the social studies curriculum through the performing arts.  The dance troupe, performing traditional dances from countries in Asian, helped the students' culture studies “come alive.”
